becoming you
I’ve been saying to people that the aim in life is to become the ‘best version of yourself’ - but what does that really mean?
It doesn’t mean having lots of money, the best house, the best car and the finest clothes. No… Being the best version of yourself means fully expressing who you are with confidence, courage and conviction. Being authentic and honest in everything you say, think and do.
Not being the person everyone thinks you are, nor the person everyone expects you to be - but the real you, fully expressing yourself, regardless of what others may think.
As long as you are not hurting anyone, you can do and be whatever you want.
As children we believed we could do and be anything ….. we dreamed, we visualised and we created, without fear or expectation. As children we all had playful curiosity and the confidence to try new things and take risks. We didn’t have comfort zones securely locked around us. We wanted to know who we were and how the world worked. No hang-ups, no fears, no hidden agendas, just pure excitement and curiosity about life.
So, where did those parts of us go?
In Western world we are so heavily conditioned, with so many expectations, restrictions and rules placed on us, that most of us have lost our true sense of purpose, and self. As we navigate this fast-paced world, we have become in many ways ‘spiritless’ as we run around in our busy lives. So little time for reflection, renewal and seeking out life-long learning and growing.
It’s no wonder we have lost our sense of awe and meaning in the world – we have become distracted from our own life. Distracted from our own life’s quest - the quest to learn who we really are – as we did when we were children.
It’s not all bad news though because we can reclaim those parts of ourselves.
We have the ability, the power and the choice to revisit and re-enliven those parts of us that have been stifled, conditioned and hidden. Finding the hidden parts of ourselves can bring us great joy - as we cut the ties, beliefs and conditioning that prevents us from moving forward, as the best version of ourselves.
We can find more freedom and more access to Life Force Energy if we choose to do the work and shift our focus from things and everything outside of ourselves - to inside and who we really are.
By doing this, we regain more of the qualities we lost as children - curiosity, excitement, hope and belief that we can be and do whatever we want.
Looking within, getting in touch with your inner Spirit is the only path towards such freedom. There is nothing in the outside world that will bring us true happiness and fulfilment. It’s all within ourselves - and it’s called our Spirit.
Only by going to the level of your Spirit will you access your full potential, bringing more intelligence, creativity, and awareness into every aspect of your life - this is your Life’s Quest. This is where you can stand in your sovereignty.
The most important Quest you can take part in.
The challenge of your own life ……
This is how you find the best version of yourself.
